The Inspiration Behind the Community Care Cleaning Campaign
The idea for the Community Care Cleaning Campaign came to me during my first experience with door-to-door sales in Hibbing. I was out selling roof and gutter cleaning services, determined to help homeowners maintain their properties. Little did I know, this day would profoundly impact my perspective on community support.
As I walked through a quiet neighborhood, I noticed a charming little house with a yard blanketed in leaves. The house was situated under a mature maple tree, and in mid to late fall, it was clear that the leaves had not been cleared for quite some time. The gutters and roof valleys were overflowing with leaves, causing concern for potential damage.
I knocked on the door and was greeted by a sweet, white-haired lady. She welcomed me with a warm smile, and I explained the benefits of our roof and gutter cleaning service. Her face fell as she admitted that she desperately needed the service but simply couldn't afford it due to her fixed income. I could see the worry in her eyes as she looked at her neglected gutters and yard, knowing the potential damage it could cause but feeling powerless to do anything about it.
In that moment, I felt a deep sense of helplessness. Despite my desire to assist her, I didn't have the sales skills or the resources to offer a solution on the spot. I left her house that day feeling a mix of frustration and determination. I knew I had to find a way to help people like her in the future—those who needed our services but couldn't afford them.
This experience stayed with me and inspired the creation of the Community Care Cleaning Campaign. For every 10 paid jobs we complete, we offer one free exterior cleaning service to a person in need, nominated by our paying customers. This program ensures that no one has to choose between maintaining their home and managing their finances, especially those on a fixed income.
Through this initiative, we aim to give back to the community that supports us and ensure that everyone can have a clean and safe home, regardless of their financial situation. Terms and Conditions
Eligibility:
Nominated individuals must reside within Mesabi Top Tier Exteriors’ general service area.
Free services are eligible only for single-family residences.
Nomination Process:
Customers can submit nominations via the form provided upon payment of the invoice.
Nominations can also be made verbally upon completion of services.
No Demonstration of Need Required:
Nominated individuals are not required to demonstrate genuine need to be eligible for the free service. This approach ensures the campaign is inclusive and accessible, avoiding the need for sensitive information or verification processes that could create barriers or legal implications. The campaign's purpose is to assist and uplift community members, trusting customers to nominate those they believe would benefit most.
Campaign Goal:
For every 10 paid jobs, one free exterior cleaning service is provided to a nominated person in need.
